Product Description

The Fullex MK1 2-point inline sliding patio door lock (Pin on Frame) is the original mechanism fitted to thousands of uPVC and aluminium sliding patio doors across the UK and Ireland, particularly in properties built during the late 1990s and 2000s. This listing is for the Pin on Frame (MK1) version, where the spring-loaded push pin is mounted in the fixed outer door frame.

When the sliding door is pushed fully closed, the lock body depresses the frame-mounted pin, enabling the lever handle to operate. Lifting the handle extends two round-headed locking bolts through the faceplate into keeps on the fixed frame. Turning the euro cylinder then deadlocks the mechanism, securing the door.

Three backset sizes are available — 18.75mm, 25.75mm, and 28.75mm — measured from the front edge of the faceplate to the centre of the euro cylinder keyhole. Select the backset that matches your existing lock precisely. Some older locks may be labelled 19mm, 26mm, or 29mm — these are the same sizes rounded.

Backset Quick Reference

Use either the backset (faceplate edge to cylinder centre) or the overall cylinder case width (faceplate edge to back of case) to confirm your variant:

Backset Overall Case Width Often Labelled As
18.75mm 34.75mm ~19mm
25.75mm 41.75mm ~26mm
28.75mm 44.75mm ~29mm

How to Identify Your Lock

Step 1 — Confirm Pin on Frame (MK1)
Open your sliding patio door. If the spring-loaded push pin is mounted in the fixed outer door frame (not on the lock body in the sliding panel), you have Pin on Frame (MK1) and this is the correct listing. If the pin is on the lock body, you need our MK2 Pin on Lock listing instead.

Step 2 — Measure the Backset
Measure from the front edge of the faceplate to the centre of the euro cylinder keyhole. Your measurement should be close to 18.75mm, 25.75mm, or 28.75mm. Alternatively, measure the full width of the case at the cylinder area (faceplate edge to back of case) and match against the overall widths above.

Step 3 — Check the Faceplate
Confirm your faceplate width is 19mm. If it is 22mm or wider, you may have a different Fullex patio lock variant.

Step 4 — Confirm PZ Centres
Measure from the centre of the square spindle hole to the centre of the euro cylinder keyhole. This should be approximately 52mm.

Before You Buy — Checklist

☐ I have confirmed the push pin is on the fixed frame (Pin on Frame / MK1)

☐ I have measured my backset as 18.75mm, 25.75mm, or 28.75mm

☐ I have checked my faceplate width is 19mm

☐ I have confirmed my PZ centres are approximately 52mm

☐ I understand keeps, bolts, faceplate, handles, and cylinder are NOT included

☐ I understand my patio levers must accept a 5mm square spindle

If any measurements do not match, this is NOT the correct lock. Please contact us before ordering.

Also Known As

This lock is referred to across the market as: Fullex MK1 Patio Lock, Fullex PDL Patio Lock, Fullex PDL1 2 Point Patio Slider, Fullex Inline Patio Door Lock, Fullex 2PT Patio Lock, Fullex Sliding Patio Door Lock – Pin on Frame, Fullex 2 Point Patio Door Lock Pin on Frame, and Fullex Patio Lock MK1 2PT. All refer to this product family.

Compatibility

This lock is a direct like-for-like replacement for existing Fullex MK1 (Pin on Frame) 2-point inline patio door locks only. It is not a universal patio door lock and will not fit doors originally equipped with MK2 (Pin on Lock) mechanisms, 4-point locks, or locks from other manufacturers such as Cego, Regent, ERA, or Schlegel. Before ordering, confirm your existing lock is a Fullex inline patio lock with the push pin on the fixed frame, and that your backset and case dimensions match. If you are unsure, please contact us before purchasing.

Ordering the Right Part

We want to help you get the right lock first time. Because this product is discontinued and stock is limited, please use the measuring guide above and check all dimensions carefully before placing your order. If you are unsure, send us clear photos of your existing lock (front, side, and end views) along with your measurements and we will help identify the correct variant. Locks that have been fitted, marked, or damaged may not be eligible for return.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Pin on Frame (MK1) and Pin on Lock (MK2)?

Pin on Frame (MK1) has the spring-loaded push pin mounted in the fixed outer door frame. Pin on Lock (MK2) has the push pin built into the lock case on the sliding door panel. These are not interchangeable — you must match your existing configuration. This listing is for Pin on Frame (MK1) only.

How do I measure the backset on my Fullex patio lock?

Measure from the front edge of the faceplate to the centre of the euro cylinder keyhole. Use a ruler or digital callipers. Your measurement should match one of: 18.75mm, 25.75mm, or 28.75mm. Alternatively, measure the overall case width at the cylinder area (faceplate edge to back of case): 34.75mm, 41.75mm, or 44.75mm respectively. Some older locks may be labelled 19mm, 26mm, or 29mm — these are the same sizes rounded.

Is this lock still manufactured?

No. This lock has been discontinued by Fullex (UAP Limited) and is no longer in production. There is no like-for-like replacement from any manufacturer. All remaining stock is residual — once current supplies are exhausted, this lock will be permanently unavailable.

What is included with this lock?

This listing is for the lock gearbox unit only. Dome-headed screw bolts, faceplate, keeps/strikers, patio lever handles, and euro profile cylinder are NOT included. You must re-use your existing hardware or purchase these separately.

Will this lock fit my patio door?

This lock is a direct like-for-like replacement for doors originally fitted with a Fullex MK1 (Pin on Frame) inline patio door lock. It will not fit doors with MK2 (Pin on Lock) mechanisms or locks from other manufacturers. You must match your pin position, backset, and case dimensions before ordering. If in doubt, contact us with photos and we will help.

What spindle size does this lock use?

This lock uses a 5mm square spindle, which is smaller than modern multipoint locks (typically 7mm or 8mm). Ensure your existing patio lever handles are compatible with a 5mm spindle.

Is this lock handed (left or right)?

No, this lock is universal (non-handed) and can be fitted to both left and right sliding patio doors.

What does "overall cylinder case width" mean?

The overall cylinder case width is the full width of the lock case at the euro cylinder area, measured from the front edge of the faceplate to the back of the case body. This is often easier to measure than the backset (which goes to the cylinder centre rather than the back edge) and can help confirm you have the correct variant. The overall widths are: 34.75mm (18.75mm backset), 41.75mm (25.75mm backset), and 44.75mm (28.75mm backset).
