Product Overview:

The GU SECURY Europa range is a trusted series of multipoint door locks, designed for uPVC, timber, and composite doors. Operated by lift lever or split spindle, these locks are known for their reliable security and consistent configurations, simplifying manufacturing and installation.

• The Europa range is often referred to as GU Ferco due to historical naming conventions.
• Modern locks are branded as GU, while older 70mm PZ versions are still referred to as Ferco.
• GU logos are typically stamped on the faceplate, aiding easy identification.

Old vs New Lock Compatibility:

GU revamped their lock designs over a decade ago. If you're replacing an older style (recognizable by a cut-out top corner on the gearbox), be aware that:

• New gearboxes feature a vertical groove and are not compatible with old-style faceplates.
• You may need to adjust the latch and deadbolt keeps for proper fitment when upgrading to the new version.
• Thicker deadbolts on newer locks may require updated keeps to avoid fouling.
